i LIVE WITH MY DAD, AMMA, ASHOK-MY ONLY BROTHER WHO IS TALENTED IN OIL PAINTING, KEY BOARD PLAYING AND MUSIC, I HAVE LOT OF FRIENDS.

Brief Profile

Ajay Gullu  fifteen  year old now, started learning Carnatic Music from an early age of two and half years.

In Kuwait, Ajay had the privilege of learning Carnatic Music under well  known  musician and vocalist MRS.JAYANTHI SIVANANTHAN (Mrs.Jay Siva), Sangeetha Vidwan from Adayar music college, who helped him a lot to improve his style and encouraged to perform. Also guided him to pass the 5th grade in Carnatic music from Shivaranjani Fine Arts affiliated to Academy of  Fine Arts, London. 

Mrs, Jayanthi’s mother, SMT.SARASWATHI PAKIARASA from London, whom Ajay  fondly call “Muthassi”  blessed him with introducing rare keerthanas and also helped him to understand a lot about Carnatic krithi rendering styles. 

MR.B.S.SHIVA, his teacher Smt.Jayanthi’s beloved husband, Director of famous Shivaranjani Fine Arts in Kuwait is a well known singer and introduced Mridangam, Harmonium lessons and Bhajans to Ajay. Shivaranjani introduced Ajay as a singer, dancer and mridangist to Tamil  community providing him a chance to perform in the presence of Ilayaraja, Gangai Amaran, Vairamuthu and M.S.Viswanathan  in Kuwait.

At present learning carnatic from SRI.CHANDRAMANA NARAYANAN NAMBOOTHIRI , Perumbavoor.

Hindustani from PANDIT RAMESH NARAYAN and SRI.VIJAYASENAN.

Recently started learning light music from SMT. K. S CHITHRA.

Received ‘Kala Prathibha’ title (with 4 First prizes and a second prize) at six years, in art competitions held by ‘NAVATHARA’ – a well known cultural organization in Kuwait. 

Kuwait based organizations especially KALA, MESSAGE, KWT KALABHAVAN,  CHENNERKARA ASSN.,  SHIVARANJINI, VOICE, FRONT LINERS, KOTTAYAM ASSN., KOTTAYAM CLUB, PALA ST.THOMAS, KALIKA  AND VARIOUS WELL WISHERS IN THEIR PRIVATE FUNCTIONS have helped to exhibit his talents on different  Programs.

 Many music competitions found him as the most talented participant in various categories. A prize winner in Konkani singing competition (Goa Day 2000)

Has already performed as singer in various musical programs (‘Ganamela’ –malayalam ,tamil, hindi, konkani) ,Carnatic and Hindustani music.. Also able to   play Tabla and Mridangam and  already performed on stages.

Learning   classical dance - "KATHAK" from "JHANKAR"school of kathak affiliated to PRACHEEN KALAKENDRA, CHANDIGAR and a good performer.

The   first audio recording at Riyan studio Cochin in 2004 -‘Kunjukaikalil’ – Christian devotional Album.

M.S.Viswanathan Award winner in tamil film songs competition (without age catogary) in which MSV was the chief jury.

In CBSC Kalolsavam (2008)he was a winner  in light music and tabla with  A grade.....

Performing classical music programs in kerala especially in temples every year.
